SoNA Prepares For Final Three Shows Of The Season

Symphony of Northwest Arkansas

The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas has been selling out back-to-back shows during its 2022-23 MainStage season at Walton Arts Center, and there are just three shows left to get in on the action.

  • Marching on: Presenting New Canons on Mar 11, the symphony will showcase pieces from its upcoming album, such as Trevor New's Cohere I, Paul Haas's In saecula saeculorum, and a performance of Johannes Brahms's Symphony No. 3 in F Major.
  • April showers: Battle of the Bands on Apr 8 will bring SoNA and the Fayetteville Jazz Collective together for an evening of genre-defying music, then the season will wrap up on Apr 29 with Evoking Folklore, a storytelling experience featuring pianist Angela Chang.

MIXD Gallery Highlights Humanity's Relationship With The Environment Second Art Drop

MIXD Gallery in Rogers unveiled its second art exhibition last weekend. Titled Natural Beings, the collection explores the relationship between a creature and its environment.

  • Fairytales: Nestled in the Ozark hills about 30 minutes southeast of Fayetteville, Terra Studios is a magical wonderland of art where visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of sparkling glass sculptures, fantasy creatures, and peaceful gardens created by hundreds of artists. You'll feel like you've stepped into a fairyland.
  • Feel artsy: Sign up for an art class and learn how to make pinch pots and clay bunnies, or join the Art Lab open to all visitors on Friday, Mar 24, and create your own Bluebird of Happiness using model magic clay.
