A local startup has raised $2m in a late-stage seed round. 

• Around town: Springdale-based EasyBins is a one-of-a-kind grocery delivery service. Customers can order items from multiple stores around town and have them delivered in a temperature-controlled bin.
• Footprint: Easy bins is currently in 6 locations around the state. The funding from this late-stage seed round will go toward the continued expansion of the company’s geographic footprint along with technology and staff.

Today is cause for celebration, because it is the grand opening of a new restaurant in Downtown Rogers! 

• Addition: The 120 is a Spanish Tapas Bar and is located on 120 S Second St right next to Arkansas Public Theatre in Rogers. Tapas is a noun that means small Spanish savory dishes, typically served with drinks at a bar, and that is precisely what The 120 is. 
• Starting strong: This evening at 4p The 120 Tapas Bar is bringing its all while supporting a number of local food and beverage producers and local entrepreneurs in the creative community. As a part of the dining experience, you’ll also find original, local art from mosaics to charcuterie boards.

Due to the surrounding area’s quick development, the City of Bentonville’s next park project is a new park on 28th St. 

• Location: The park will be on a 25-acre site adjacent to Osage Creek Elementary School and Creekside Middle School. It will also be connected to a new trail running from SW 28th St to SW Greenhouse Rd.
• Features: Plans for the park include a ground for cricket, a game commonly played in India among other regions. The park’s cricket ground will be the first of its kind in the area. The park will also have other sports fields, a dog park, a playground, a splash pad, and other amenities.

The Northwest Arkansas Workforce Development program provides resources for job seekers and employers.

• Training: The Workforce Development program is a part of the NWA Economic Development District (NWAEDD) covering a 9 county region. The program provides opportunities for eligible applicants to receive free career guidance and hands-on training under the Workforce Innovation Opportunities Act.
• Investments: Eligible applicants are disadvantaged adults and youth who have a barrier to employment. That could be anything from being a single parent, having a low income, or a basic skill deficiency. Those proven eligible can receive financial assistance as well as career advancement. In the last two years, NWAEDD invested nearly $3m in the NWA regional economy.
